Oh, but Chico, what about all those other nations we must save from themselves?
I would begin voting today and vote every day until 08 if they would let me. These last six years have ruined our reputation all around the world and that is a freakin' disgusting shame.

How many times do we have to be attacked (in our own country) by fanatical Islamic terrorist before you think we should act? Wasn’t the 1st WTC bombing, US embassy, 9/11, USS Cole, etc. enough for you?
What is an acceptable # of innocent people that need to be killed before you think we should act as country? What if the WTC would have toppled immediately and killed 10k + innocent people? Would that have been enough? What if fl#93 would have hit the capital or some other populated place as intended? Would it be enough then?
I’m not happy with the deaths in Iraq or this war in general. But donkeys and elephants aside we need to do something and act now! In fact, we should have started this years ago. These terrorist are lost souls who have been brought up in countries lacking freedom, opportunity, etc. This is what ultimately leads people to join these fanatical groups. When you have nothing and nothing to lose, who cares? (Think of our country w/out public assistance and you can imagine what it’s probably like there.) For example, where are all the terrorists from UAE or other westernized mid-east countries? Can you see the difference here? The way I see it is that we do need to help build a democratic society in Iraq now that Sadaam is gone so it doesn’t become another Afghanistan/Pakistan/Iran/ etc. This is a long term solution to a problem than can not be solved by just hunting down these fanatics one by one. Eventually you need to act with a plan and stick with it. Think of the number of years it took form our country. It sure was longer than 6 yrs….
That’s my opinion and I know you’ll continue thinking this is about the Bush crime family, oil, Carl Rove, Halliburton, etc. which will cause you to go on an anti-Bush tantrum. Try to look beyond Bush and I’ll bet you’ll see this problem will not be gone. It was here when they tried to take out the WTC in 93 while Slick Willy was getting a BJ and prior to that. Bush will be gone in a couple of years and if your wish comes true, maybe a liberal will get elected. Then they can pull us out of Iraq and everywhere else and lead us in putting our heads in the sand and we will all hope the problem goes away on its own. But, be careful when you pull your head out Chico, because their might just be an Islamic terrorist happily waiting to lop it off with a knife…they would take your’s off right after W’s. - That is unless you’re one of them.
Also, your number representing risks are fine but realize most if not all of them represent accidental or natural deaths. Terrorism is MURDER OF INNOCENT, DEFENSLESS PEOPLE. Also, if your liberal mind wants to live and act by these numbers then I think you should start a cause by taking off your AIDS Ribbon and start wearing one for the Flu. It continually takes more lives each and every year….

Anyhow, the Islamic fanatics are NOT attacking switzerland, Brazil, Colombia, New Zealand, Fiji, Cuba, Bahamas, etc. etc. etc....
The foreign policy for the last 40+ years has been pissing off half the world and pushing fanatics to aim their efforts at the USA. This federal government is in the pocket of the Military Industrial complex, a great REPUBLICAN president (Ike) even warned us about it.
This never ending "war on terror" is being used as an excuse to violate the civil liberties our founding fathers fought to secure for us in the ratification of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. You prefer war over liberty, death over rational thought. Your attitute will keep us in war and will keep the radical cave-shitting bastards in the business of attacking us.
